Karnobat has over 20 000 citizens and is in a municipality centre of 30 villages, which are very peaceful and restful. Some of them, like Asparuhovo, Detelina and Sokolovo have mineral water springs. Others, like Cherkovo, Surnevo and Krushovo have nice hunting fields and lakes for fishing. The infrastructure, the weather conditions and the location of the town determine it to be an agricultural industrial zone. It's one of the biggest wine producers in the Balkans, with the biggest distillery in Bulgaria near by. The municipality's agriculture has clean ecological production of all its fruit and veg including peaches cherries grapes and figs. The town is an important crossroad to other parts of the country, located just 30 minutes from the Black sea coast and in the footsteps of the Stara Planina. The new motorway is linking Karnobat with the all points of interest around the coast and new golf course.
